What is Ultimate Frisbee?

CUDL Logo

Where?

Our location for the 2025 season is J.S. Mack Community Park. We hope to continue using this location in future years as well. It's a great spot for us to use- it is a central location, a large area, has lined fields, and more seating space.

If you represent a business or other organization and would like to host us, feel free to contact us here:

When?

Rules

Our rulebook draws strongly from the USA Ultimate rulebook. Links to both rulebooks are here:

The exact schedule for each team will be announced by at least April before the season starts. The first game is on May 9, 2023, and the season runs until August 1 with a scheduled make-up game on August 9. See here for the full schedule draft.

Is CUDL only for Christians?

Not at all. Anyone is more than welcome to join CUDL, regardless of creed. Our name reflects the values by which we operate and play. As a Christian group, we donate to and support Christian causes, pray at each game, and adhere to Christian ethics in our rules (e.g. no swearing).

What if I can't make a game?

No problem! Just let your team captain know as soon as possible. Hint: there's an easy way to do that at the bottom of each team's page.

Sign up FAQs

How do I sign up?

A Sign-up bash will be held at Mack Park two weeks or so before the sign-up deadline. We will have sign-up forms there, as well as hot dogs and some frisbees. You can also sign up online.

How much does it cost?

There is a small fee that will be requested upon sign-up. This fee will cover the cost of your jersey and a few frisbees for the league, as well as a few other expenses.  You can hand-deliver it at the bash or give it to our treasurer, Henry Rummel. Fees may be cash or check, in a sealed envelope with your name on it. If you would prefer to pay via check, please email us. (indianacudl@gmail.com)

Player Fee:

$15 through December 31, then

$20 from January 1-April 18.

When do I sign up?

You may sign up anytime between October 1st, 2024 and April 18, 2025, with a one-week grace period. Come to the Sign-up bash (April 12th) or sign up online.

What about rain delays?

We will cancel for inclement weather. Rain is not considered enough to cancel, but wind, lightning, and thunder will either delay, postpone, or cancel the game. CUDL upholds the 30 second rule for lightning: if there's thunder within 30 seconds of lightning, we will postpone the games.

Is there an age limit?

Glad you asked! The CUDL is only for players who will be 12 years old by the date of the first game (May 10). This will minimize injuries and maximize playing time.

HOWEVER: We are continuing to offer the U14 league we experimented with last year. The setup will be very casual with the goal of letting kids have fun while learning the game a little better. Twelve- and thirteen-year-olds will have the option to play in either league.

What about a Dress Code?

No Shirt, No Shoes, No service. Jersey must be worn at all times, as well as shoes. Cleats, gloves, mouthguards, and other items such as shin guards and arm/knee braces are optional. Hats may be worn as long as they will not interfere with gameplay (baseball caps, dad hats, beanies, etc. are acceptable). Revealing or excessively short clothing is strictly forbidden.
