CUDL2026 Week 7 Reflections

Jack Kimmel

Jul 3, 2026

Jack Kimmel shares a few thoughts following week 7 of the CUDL2026 regular season.

Olive the Glory

Olive the Glory has become one of the scarier teams this season, securing the number one seed at the moment and having more wins then most of the teams. They have played an outstanding season so far, and they have really shown what teamwork can do. Putting those things aside, green has lost and tied their two most recent games: 6-9 to the Disciples and 15-15 to the The Committee for Disc Retention. Barely tying Red and benefiting from several other losses by top teams, Olive the Glory has just managed to hang on to the number 1 seed. I will be interested to see if what everyone feared is really true. Regardless of their recent shortcomings, Olive is a great team and has a few more games to really show what they can do before the playoffs.

 The Committee for Disc Retention

This is the most underrated team by far in my opinion— they truly proved that when they played Olive the Glory (the number one seed), keeping them down about three points the whole game up until the last two minutes when Green came back to tie the game. They have a pretty solid lineup of athletes and they all just click together. Red's defense is pretty solid, but in my opinion their offense is key. Red's efficient cutting squad always leaves people open. They push the field wide and deep, allowing them to move the disc well. In my view, Red definitely was the winner of that game even if the final score showed a tie. This is the team to watch this week.

Scoober Divers

The Scoober Divers truly played the game of the week, beating the Disciples by a whopping 22-9. They played an amazing game and barely dropped the disc. Teal finally started to click together, showing that if a team learns to works together instead of being against each other that they will win, and continue to win. This could very, very scary for future teams to face the rest of the season. This team might end up being the best team this year— in the end, it is the championship, not record, that will truly determine everything.
